Adopt-a-Bed

Go Ahead… Adopt a bed.

FLAG invites you to adopt a bed in any of the four Ladd's Addition rose gardens. Adopters select an available bed, then commit to maintaining it throughout the summer by deadheading the roses and weeding the bed. FLAG members provide hands-on instructions and a snazzy medallion designating your adopted bed.

  • Do clean your clippers with alcohol before and after deadheading.

  • Do move debris from your bed to a pile next to the nearest lamp post.

Adopt-a-Bed

FLAG typically reserves a portion of the rose beds for our the Adopt-a-Bed program. The remaining beds are maintained by the Saturday morning deadheading volunteers.

There are other ways to chip in and help Friends of Ladd’s Addition Gardens.

If you can't adopt a rose bed, consider joining us during a Saturday morning deadheading session, for as long as you are able – 20 minutes to a couple of hours. Please see our community deadheading calendar for more info.
